Welcome to Art Room 2001
Saluda
Elementary School
Hello! I am thrilled to spend the Fall Semester with your students. I will teach art from August - December and look forward to meeting each of you. This semester our theme in the Art Room is:
eARTh...it’s got ART!
Students will spend the semester studying how Art connects to the world around us. We will explore cultures around the world, investigate how the natural world inspires art using our imagination and creativity to express ourselves. Your art scholars will practice the Studio Habits of Mind and apply the elements of art and principles of design in their 2D and 3D work.
A NOTE FROM MRS. STONEY
A little something about your teacher...
Mrs. Stoney is an artist/art teacher who enjoys sharing her knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for art. Her vision for her students is: continue to learn with an open mind, to develop and refine art thinking and making, be willing to take risks with their art, be resourceful, original, and reflective about the process of creation. Most of all, have fun!
